June 2022 marks the two-year anniversary when Grant & Stone and Devondale (IBMG Electrical) joined the Association of Wholesale Electrical Bulk Buyers (AWEBB) as a member.

As an independent electrical wholesaler, IBMG Electrical needs to support its customers with competitive pricing and service of stock. AWEBB is the largest dedicated electrical buying group, enabling IBMG Electrical to compete in the current market. The membership has led to increased rebate deals and improved manufacturer support.

The reason for the successful partnership is not only the commercial opportunities that AWEBB provides, but an integrated approach which encompasses leadership and development programmes, industry support of the Electrical Industries Charity (EIC), numerous event opportunities and access to a network of 88 organisations with over 250 branches.

Branch Managers of IBMG Electrical are enrolled in AWEBB’s LEAD Academy Management Development Programme which train individuals in a way that leads to commercial rewards. Electrical teams also benefit by actively participating in a network of engagement through event opportunities such as the Electrical Distributors’ Association (EDA), national supplier functions and conferences.

A centralised warehouse boasting over £1m in critical stock and access to a network of over 250 branches nationwide under the Electracentre inter trading banner enables IBMG Electrical to offer customers an extensive range of products that would otherwise not be possible wherever they work in the UK.
