Alumasc actively pursues sustainability in their full range of products and systems they offer through its accreditation to the ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental Management Standard. Alumasc, its partners and its suppliers are committed to putting consideration for the built and wider environment at the core of all aspects of their current business and future development.
Individual Alumasc products and systems are certified by the British Board of Agrément and where appropriate have equivalent European/US accreditation.
Aluminium and cast iron - used extensively in Alumasc’s Rainwater and Drainage systems are both 100% recyclable, in that the recycled material suffers no loss of properties. Aluminium has the lowest embodied energy of any processed metal and the recycling process, from which 70% of the world’s stocks come, uses only about 5% of the energy required during primary production.
Continuing to put responsibly sourced and utilised raw materials at the heart of future product development not only benefits the wider environment but also provides peace of mind for specifiers and end users as to the pedigree and ‘green’ lineage of all Alumasc products.
